yarpen
Hello. I've got two ideas for new NPC kits. Can you read it? Haer'Dalis Doomguard: ... Advantages: - Immunity to mind-affecting spells (domination, charm etc.) - 1% immunity to magic/2 levels - Song like a Jester (but not improve with levels) - 5% chance to wild magic wave (like a Wild Mage) - Gains special Wild Mage spells (Nahal Reckless Dweomer, Chaos shield, Improved Chaos shield) - Once per day he can use 'Cloack of fear', which works like a 4-level cleric spell - Can achieve specialization (2 points) in swords Disadvantages: - Can't use normal song - His Jester song doesn't improve with levels - Gain 1% chance to miscast spell per 3 levels (to max 8% at 24 level) - Got 20% chance to loss 1 charisma point per 4 levels Cernd Traveling Druid (Only with Divine Remixes) - Must got 17 charisma Advantages: - Gains bonus +10 to base lore - Got full access to traveling and charm spheres - Bonus +1 to all throws Disadvantages: - No shapechange without DR Traveling Druid (Only with Divine Remixes) - Must got 17 charisma Advantages: - Gains bonus +10 to base lore - Once per day per 4 levels can use 'Free Movement' (4-level cleric spell which grants immunity to slow/hold effects. I don't remember english name) - Bonus +1 to all throws Disadvantages: - No shapechange All right. That's it Link to comment
Grim Squeaker
Okay, I think the Doomguard is a little unbalanced as his regular song gets replaced by a new one anyway and charisma penalities aren't really gonna do anything. Your two versions of the Traveling Druid both appear to be for Divine Remix, though I take it only the first one is meant to be. For the record, having a minimum charisma is actually an advantage as BG2 increases the stat up to the minimum. No shapechange isn't really a penalty either, I mean, I never use turning into a bear infact I only rarely use HLA shapechanging. So again, not so balanced, sorry. Just my opinion. Link to comment
Idobek
I have (more balanced) plans for a Doomguard kit extension for Haer'Dalis. It is not, however, a priority. Link to comment
yarpen
I don't think, the kits are unbalanced... advantages aren't so big... Maybe you can find some better prestigue classes in original PnP. Link to comment

And we've been investigating a lot of prestige classes for the various remixes, with the option to kit NPCs as appropriate. Link to comment
