I realize that C! is CamDawg's prefix but, that is the actual prefix for the

kit and, if I change it to mine....will it cause problems if someone who

is playing my mod has the Blade Master kit installed from SP Collection?

I miss a tilda here (before the second "C!BladeM"):

I am not too firm about compatibility of kits, but I recommend using your own prefix for everything you mod, since it's the only way to be sure you are not overwriting other stuff (and, as long as others respect your registered prefix, that other mods don't do it with yours.)

Thanks Jastey, I thought it was something simple. I feel stupid now.

 

One more question please. When I install Calin, it says

setup calin blah blah

install ....etc then asks install blade master kit as a seperate component

 

I don't want it to do that. I want it to install the kit without asking.

Could someone please tell me how to do that? I've read everything

I could find about kits and I can't seem to find the answer.

Usually, a new install component starts with BEGIN. If you take out the BEGIN, it should install the kit without asking. (Then there would be only one BEGIN in your install, at the top).

 

Don't feel stupid - we have all been there. I spent three days full time finding my first parse error, I think it was also a missing tilda. (I was on holidays and didn't have internet access, and had started modding IE only a few days before.)

to figure out but I'm working on it!

Keep on posting if you need more pairs of eyes.

 

Actually I do but I was afraid to ask. But, since you offered and I can't

seem to figure it out....the problem lies in this part. I've put tildes everywhere and in several combinations and none seems to be right.

I caught the tilde after say blade master and I inserted the the last one and the

What do you mean by "I caught the tilde after say blade master"? Did you leave the tilda after the SAY?

 

I mean, you pointed out that I forgot one. I saw it and corrected it.

 

Just a question: is using "SAY" three times in a row correct (I don't have experience with kit creation)?

 

 

From what I read and saw in the tutorial, yes it is. But, I don't have experience with it either :) I'll try taking one out and see what happens.

I fixed that part. Of course I couldn't be lucky enough to have the rest work. So, now that I'm done banging my head on the keyboard :) this is what it tells me
