  1. Hi, David. 1. I am using project infinity. and I would like both "bardsongs from Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition " and "IWD Class Updates: Bard: Selectable Bard Songs for Jesters and Skalds" from iwdification for oBGT. for maximum compatibility and installation convenience, should I install the component from SCS' "IWD Class Updates: Bard: Add IWD Bard Songs" (the same component as iwdification's) instead along with " selectable bard songs..."? or should i just get both from iwdification? I am only worried about it might be a hassle to adjust things or update mods Some functions, like singling out a component from a mod to another place in the install order does not seem to be working well with Project Infinity lately. also do those components that add icewind dale arcane and divine spells from iwdification work for oBGT? why does SCS compatibility notes say that "Also, IWDification works on non-Enhanced Edition games. "? 2. for customization option of SCS iwd_overrides_sr(1) - this determines which of IWD and Spell Revisions' spell lists is prioritized on installs where both are present. By default, IWD is prioritised; set this to 0 to reverse this. What is the actual in-game effect of this option? would the SCS AI act strangely if it is set to 0 and uses SRR's spell-list? I'd like to first understand how would SCS work with these two different spell lists.

Could anyone please give some advice to my mod installation order? whether they are in right order, and if there are mods that are incompatible, or obsolete / deprecated? a couple issues noted during sorting 1. two improved bg 2 gui components that are shown to be incorrectly sorted according to build-in rules of PI (bg2improvedgui:2900;BG2 Improved GUI - Spell Sequencer Panel, should be BEFORE item upgrade) (bg2improvedgui:430;BG2 Improved GUI - Enemy + Ally/Summon/Charmed + Party, should be BEFORE spell revision revised) yet the mod's own readme does not mention any rule like that for these two components: Spellhold Studios - BG2 Improved GUI 2. the tobex afterlife i downloaded via Project Infinity with build-in mod downloading function does not show any option to turn on or off optional fixes (see Spellhold Studios - TobEx AfterLife). this is problematic as " Saving Throw Improved Invisible Bonus [Compatibility] Enable +4 Saving Throw Bonus at engine level, doesn't apply bonus against creatures with ability to see invisible. Component not compatible with BG2 Fixpack! (BG2 Fixpack has own, but worse fix)" must be turned off or bg2 fixpack would clash with it/ 3. does my 1pp options conflict with bg 2 improved UI? i opted out of GUI options from 1pp. but are there other components i failed to see that would cause potential conflicts? according to SRR's author bg 2 improved gui seems to be able to conflict with 1pp "SR/R doesn't modify any UI elements, so not a likely cause for conflict. I think someone told me the component "accelerate / decelerate romance "checks vanilla romance time-variables and multiply them by percentage value---so in this case where romance is added by a mod, would it still work properly, or would it be ignored if it does not use vanilla romancing system? Do romance cheats like "any race ", still works? .. 3. it is mentioned by release page of Project Infinity if you copy paste the install sequence it is able to change the order temporarily. does anyone know whether sequence order only works like that if you have actually ticked the boxes of the mods? or does it automatically tick the boxes for you?   8. ty, friend! i guess it is the usual microsoft shenanigans again. also do you know why oBG2 shows up as a very small screen in the centre with black bars all over it? with an nvidia rtx 3070 laptop gpu and intel integrated gpu. I tried what i did for torment.exe. there is no scaling option in my nvidia control panel, i've updated my driver and ensured "nvidia display container LS" "nvidia LocalSystem container" are running and set to automatic, but the option to choose what kind of scaling never pops up. is it likely another win 11 issue? (tried also fixpack+widescreen but it is still the same small window, black bars, and graphics misaligned)
  9. gog install, it behaves like so out of the box--- would crash when being launched. the icon would pop up for a second and then it is gone. could it be due to my laptop has a high DPI monitor? (2560*1440 160hz, normally i would just use 1920*1080) followed the tutorial here to mod: Planescape: Torment mods guide, page 9 - Forum - GOG.com 1) Installed GOG version , i did via exe installer 2) Run setup-ddrawfix.exe to remove forcing of ddraw rendering 3) Complete the whole MODs setup process (Widescreen, UI, fix, tweak, ub) via project infinity 4) Added modified ddraw.dll from here (this helps also with not streching videos, keeping aspect ratio) http://www.shsforums.net/topic/56441-proof-of-concept-alpha-blended-fog-of-war-pst/#entry559817 5)skipped. 6) Compatibility on Torment.exe: Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" (since win 11 no longer has this option, i right clicked the .exe choose compatibility->change high DPI settings--> use this setting to fix scaling problems -->"use DPI when i open this program " "high dpi scaling override" option is unfortunately greyed out.) with 6) turned on and off, and after swapping around resolution and scaling options in windows display settings, none seems to work. the game can be launched consecutively for 3-4 without failure, but then it would fail and CTD for next 3-4 times. i think it might have something to do with high DPI screens. i met this problem too with red dead redemption 2 and managed it by tweaking scaling and resolution. i think desktop scales the graphics and the game app also scales it so it reaches a resolution that cannot be displayed, or something like that. i have no idea how to fix it, i tried low res, low scaling too. torment.err and torment.log show this line repeatedly only ---------------------Start Logging Session---------------------

Blinded | Baldur's Gate Wiki | Fandom according to wiki, I think it is the oBG2 / oBGT that has -10 THAC0 by default and tobex corrects it to -4? a couple more compatibility questions 1. from tweaks anthology, is the option "Change Magically Created Weapons to Zero Weight" relevant to any extent for a SRR install? has a similar change to magically created weapons already been implemented? 2. from SCS, there is a mandatory component called "Core Stratagems spell-system changes (assumed by Sword Coast Stratagems mod)" would this component affect how SRR spells behave? it is said to be mandatory for AI improvements to work, and SCS works with SRR out of box, so i assume the final result of having both SRR and SCS would not matter too much? is there any notable changes to spell effects or is it more about technical implementation of same features? 3. does SRR alter non-spell shapeshifting abilities by druids or other classes? if not, i think i've heard from somewhere that scs / iwdification's druid shapeshift tweak is a perfectly compatible candidate to fill in that capacity , the one that gave you the totem paws ?

I downloaded some soundset mods for bg2 from socerer's place and it seems the basic naming convention between ee soundsets and oBG2's are apparently the same i tried going the rounds with google but i cannot find if there is a specification on the file format of the soundsets for oBGT /oBG2. can I assume the oBG2 engine basically play any soundset format as long as the computer recognizes and can play it caused people no trouble , or are there some caveats? is it possible e.g., to take out the soundset files from, Awesome Soundsets Vol. 2 - Spellhold Studios (shsforums.net) (meant for ee) and after having made sure the filenames are correct, directly place it into /sound folder in a standard oBGT / oBG2 game setup? or is audio conversion still needed?
