Starting as a... Dead Shaman? (Bug)

Think I found an interesting bug. I created a quick Shaman class just to check it out and my character started off, well, "dead". As in grayed out portrait, and has 0/1 hp.

Any mods affecting Shaman class?

Just the "Improved Shamanic Dance" mod as far as I know.

Sounds more like a mod removed or corrupted the SHAMAN line in XPLEVEL.2DA, or overwrote the whole file with an outdated copy. I could reproduce the same effect after removing the SHAMAN line completely.

Anything I can do to help identify the problem?

get the changelog of the file through weidu.

it's --change-log the command, and learn that the easiest way to find it is here. At least on Windows.

@Ser Elryk: So copy a .setup-modname.exe in the game folder and rtename it as weidu.exe, and then make a new .txt file, open it with Notepad and insert this code into it:

mkdir change-log
WeiDU.exe --log nul --change-log xplevel.2da >change-log/change-log.txt --out change-log
pause

Then use the "Save As" function in Notepad, and save it as "hippopotomus.bat", and then run it as if it were a .exe,

After that just push Enter to exit, and then package the "change-log" folder it made as a .zip archivevia right click and upload the file to the forum via the More Reply Option in this topic.

@Imp Most of what what you require from Ser Elryk to do is not required to do using my package. Just extract to game directory, run it and provide filename. Then check WeiDU-FileChangelog folder and post results :)

Erhm, sorry, but a normal BWS user can't see a darn thing in the link you posted:

You have a private settings that enable you to have the download link to the small archive that does what you tell ... but for us normal dudes, there's no such setting and we can't see IT. Or save it via the above link as it will try to do so in a .html format... you have to provide it via a separate link, and somewhere else. I know what you are talking about ... but it's use is not that much different than that of my suggestion as they both require things to be done quite much the same way.

The link was a mistake, I never post links to some critic sites for developers expecting that non-technical users will know what button they need to press. It was corrected.

You do know the link needs an edit to the link address, not the text portion of it, and you did the exact opposite. Yeah, I tried to use the latest version, but it still links to the original link, not the one in the text(aka the master.zip archive ).

Changelog results:

Mods affecting XPLEVEL.2DA:

00000: ~LONGERROADEE/LONGERROADEE.TP2~ 0 0 // Longer Road v 1.6 EE: v1.6 EE

In this case, just copy the file XPLEVEL.2DA: out of LongerRoadEE/backup/0 into BG2EE/override.

This must be some oversight, I will investigate this. I found there is such a file that is just copied over with a complete folder. Why it was hidden there, I have no idea, it completely unrelated to the files in that folder.

EDIT Removed the files from the mod - LR should not anymore affect global files, I never found that because a number of other mods later change the file in my installs anyway.

Yep, another mistake. Thx.
