Bug Reports for Alpha 19

The four things I'd like to get targeted feedback in this version are:

-Romantic conflicts. Do you see the separate banters between main conflicting characters (ie Jaemal-Rizdaer and Salomeya-Peony) and do you get "chose!" banter sometime after LT5 for both characters? Or do we still multiromancing?

-Jaemal's Flirts. Please, if you are playing Mal's romance, let me know if the flirts' now appear less repetitive.

-I can't hunt down one articulary ellusive issue. If you ever hear in your game character's music playing, and all NPCs turning to one another, but no dialogue triggering, could you please save it, pack it up and send me the save? I *think* it's Hildury, but I don't know.

-Peony's and female gnome mage PC avatars. Whichever one you are playing, please, let me know if they look as you want them to, and don't get substituted incorrectly when you level-up. Or if they do. :(

Hi! First of all, I want to say that I enjoy this wonderful mod a lot - all of characters seem so fitting in the game pattern, so "alive", it is a pure joy to play IWD2 now ;). Really, thank you for your hard work!

But back to bugs... ;) 'sigh'.

I am in the end of prologue. After I chat to Rizdaer for the first time ("Do you expect gratitude, surfacer?") option "You want to talk to Rizdaer" disappears from list, while another one ("You want to talk to Rizdaer in private") is still there. I don't know, may be, it isn't bug, but it looks strange anyway.

My party: my char (elf, CG, ranger, 3 level), Rizdaer, Diriel, Peony, Salomea, Jaemal. I installed official patch+IWD2 Tweaks before IWD2NPC. Ah, yes - when I played alpha18, there was no such thing, both option stayed in the list and worked normally.

(Starts pulling hair on her head) Lol, thanks for reporting, I am just having troubles with setting PIDs exactly the way I want! I'll get it right one of these days, I promise! ;)

Well, it is a very little bug, it seems ;),because in the first chapter all options (I mean "flirt with", "talk to" and "talk privately") began to work perfectly well.

Found another literally game-stopping bug in the Peony romance. I was walking back to Fell Wood for the finale with the treants, and as the party was walking along, I got a dialogue with Peony popping up that said "You wake up to the smell of something wonderful" or something along those lines. Aside from it happening as the party was walking rather than waking up from a rest, the game crashed when I tried to continue the dialogue. Reloaded, got the same flirt at around the same place, and the game crashed again. Third try ended in the same way.

Is the exact line:

"You wake up with a foreboding of something wonderful."?

If that's it, you'll need to set

P#DisablePeonyFlirts to 1

until I can figure out just what is going wrong.

The Awakening flirts are glitching on all romances, that's why I am re-writing all three 'environmental' Flirtpacks atm, but I am not certain what causes this crash off hand, because other 2 romances do not exhibit that behavoir (ie they just misfire, but don't crash). Can I get a saved game before the crash, please? You can just rar or zip the whole folder.

After installing a19 over a18, I was unsure if the quick and dirty fixes for a18 needed to be applied to my pre-existing savegames. I figured I'd stick on the safe side and apply them, and just view the dialogue outside the game.

In PENO4, the Peony-Nord banter, I found a couple of small typos.

  • "Listen, I'll die defending you, or anyone of my battle companions, but..." and "Though my master-plans do not include a grave just yet."

I didn't know where to ask, so I ask here, as it has a big spoiler and so can't be asked in the FAQ. And the 1.8 topic is closed. So.

I will probably find out myself before you answer, but just in case... How do I set a romance/match global to inactive? I mean, if I want to erase all remains of a romance that I decided to *not* pursue in the end? Asking because I play the 1.8 version and while multiromancing helped me to see more content in less time (and I am really desperate, having many things to do in the Life of Real -- I just don't have time to play more then twice in the moment ;/) I would like to do the finals with only one romance active at time.

Besides, as I said, the first time in Kuldahar I was romancing Rizdaer (and, as I find out, I just *couldn't* betray him :| I felt guilty... while with Jaemal that was no problem ^^' Another thing is that Rizd's romance was more advanced in the moment...) so I didn't play the Diriel sequence (save before&load be your friend^^'). Now I am in Kuldahar again and decided to play it to the end -- and the problem is that while I have disactivated both romances through the menu (the 'friends' option) Jaemal *still* leaves the party right after. Why should he care? The romance is not active, and before it was disactivated it wasn't in the 3 phase anyway... :| Is this a bug? I want to play this sequence to the end, but hey, I would like to have my high-level sorcerer in the party, too :|

As I am writing in this topic anyway, I will share some typo-suspicions... again. As usually, I am not sure if something is wrong or is it only my imagination. So:

1) In chapter 4, in one of Rizdaer's talks (~Do you think that I hate you surfacers?~)

in one of the possible answers (~If you do hate surfacers, I hope that one day I'll presuade you otherwise.~ ) - should be 'persuade'?

2) I can't find this talk in the file to copy&paste, but I think it was in Chult. Salomeya: "a garment that you adore is only be practical here" - the 'be' part is intentional? or is it a typo?

3) Rizdaer's flirt (can't find this one either): "Rizdaer drops his eyes but lifts them back you immediately(...)" - a word is missing? Perhaps 'lifts them back at you"?

4) Diriel's talk (found this one): "There are precise ways to predict the future than some and mirrors" - imo should be 'more precise' or the sentense is... well... :| ...incomplete?^^'

Strange thing happened with Peony avatar. During the game she looks like rogue halfling (my original choise of avatar), but when I open inventory, I see male gnome with shiny blue beard ;)... or maybe I see female gnome with shiny blue beard ;) , but it is definitely not cute little Peony.

This is, I think, an artefact from the previous version. By whatever reason, when the animation changing spell is cast, the inventory creature does not change - I think that might be because the spell comes from the infinity that uses the paperdolls, not the avtaras views. In V19, I have two sets of CRE for Peony, that have initially Halfling or initially Elven avatar which seems to fix the glitch. If you import one of Peony's CREs 'from scratch' this problem should go away.

Good catch! I'll change the trigger to take into account that the romance *was* interrupted. To make sure that romance does not show on your radar, do the following:

P#JaemalMatch to 0

P#JaemalRomanceActive to 0

Thanks! Also I was experimenting a little bit with romances, while waiting for your answer and if you do interrput the romance with Jaemal (fe.: while indulging yourself at the tree of life but *not* wedding Diriel *and* taking the herb-- which would be the best option if it weren't a game, btw; um, taking the herbs, not interrupting the Jaemal romance, I mean XD... only a really heartless woman could actually succumb here while romancing another) and later chose the 'sorry, I was wrong, I will be a good girl now' option in menu, nothing happens. The dialogue option is still here, but regardless how many times you chose it, it doesn't dissapear and nothing happens. I tried to rest (few times in a row, even), wait and hasten it by PID - and still nothing :| Um, perhaps I am doing something wrong, but I think it may be a bug^^' So I post.
