Lundar Posted May 8, 2018 Share Posted May 8, 2018 Hi, I have a strange behaviour of some Items in Containers. Sometimes(!) if I put an item in the container, they appear as two separate Entries! Then I want to get them back, if I select the item, I get both .... If I want to extract more than one item (of a kind), I get only one (of each entry!), which appear as two in the item bar... unless I select the 2nd entry for it and then the first for the remaining number. There seem to be a invisible chain between some Items.... Is this a bug from IR ? Or what can it be ? its very cumbersome.... Quote Link to comment

Posted May 9, 2018 Share Posted May 9, 2018 Some legacy mods set the storage capacity to 0 which makes them "truly unlimited", but that has been shown to cause problems like you describe in the past. The better practice for "truly unlimited" storage is to set the capacity to one less than the maximum possible value of the field (a signed integer?), but 999 should be perfectly fine. If you are on a classic game, there might have been a TobEX component that had something to do with containers (I can't remember for sure). If you're on the latest version of an EE game, try to reproduce the behavior without mods installed, and if you can report it to BeamDog. Other than that, I'm not sure what to suggest.
