Changing resolution in Widescreen mod after installing BG MegaMod in BigWorld

Hello,

I have a question... I've just installed a mega modification of Baldur's Gate (1&2) using Big World Project. I chose many mods, but only the recommended ones to avoid bugs, crashes and other problems. At the end of the installation process I was able to choose the screen resolution for the Widescreen mode, and I chose 1600x900, because that's my screen's basic resolution. The game works fine, but... everything is so small, in fact too small for me. So I'd gladly change the resolution for, let's say, 1280x720 or something. But there's one problem - most of the mods should be (and were) installed before Widescreen mod, but there were 2 or 3 installed after it... So could you tell me if I can change the resolution now safely, and if so - how can I do it, step by step? Thanks a lot for help in advance!!

Thanks for the tip!

But just one more question. You wrote the latter mods (installed after Widescreen) had to be uninstalled and reinstalled... and how can I do it? Should I do it manually (just like reinstalling Widescreen) or will BigWorld project somehow notice it and do it automaticly? I doubt it...

As I wrote there weren't many mods installed after Widescreen, just a few of them. The problem is I can't remember which ones;) But I think I could check it on the web, I've seen many lists, so it shouldn't be problem. I just don't know if i should reinstall them manually, as the whole instalation so far was done by BiGWorld program.

Wait wait, one more question:) I have a 17.3'' widescreen on my notebook, it's basic resolution is, as I wrote, 1600x900. Do you think 1280x720 in widescreen mod will be comfortable enough or maybe you can recommend another resolution? With current resolution it's just hard to read the small letters.

Sorry for asking so many questions, but I've been installing this game for 2 days now (first trying to install Tutu, but unsuccessfully, as I don't have the english version of BG, than gathering info about BGT, Megamodification, BigWorld project etc. etc.). So you can imagine I don't want to start it over and over again;)

Why not make the letters bigger ? Using this... if you ask me, I use a 24" monitor and 1920x1200 resolution without that mod and I can still read everything... so don't ask me.

PS

I re-installed Widescreen, Crefixer.exe and now I'm installing Generalized Biffing. Before the problem with reinstalling was caused by read-only files:) I hope it'll be better now.

Just one more question - should I also reinstall ToB_hacks and ToBEx? As far as I remember, they were installed after widescreen mod.

@Jarno

The big font mod - thanks for the link, it's nice, but I'm waiting for the 3.0 version which allows to choose the font size - as in the current version the letters are far too big - they cover half of the screen - I'm not that blind yet;)

I have:

Two computers, one has native screen resolution 1280x1024(4:3), the other - 1366x768(widescreen)

Installed Big World Project standard v9.4 for the first computer which has been working perfectly, using OpenGL renderer and native for the first computer screen resolution.

Problem i have encountered:

When i just copy the game(40Gb, my god..) to another computer(widescreen laptop), OpenGL rendering is totally messed up, I assume because its GPU does not support 1280x1024 resolution at all, so the game runs with unplayable artifacts in window like 300x200 in the center of the fullscreen and all colors are messed.

Solutions i have tried:

If i try to reinstall widescreen mod on my laptop installer crashes quite badly and brakes the game. I do not wish to post installation errors because i want to find a solution how to stretch 1280x1024 window to 1366x768 screen, without reinstalling the mod.

If i disable hardware acceleration(BGConfig.exe->harware acceleration->false) and set "windowed mode", game renders more or less ok(stretched in window), but somehow mouse pointer coordinates are not processed correctly, so i am unable to hit anything in the bottom of that window(real cursor just leaves it, while ingame cursor is somewhere in the mid-way to border).

If i keep hardware acceleration disabled and run the game in fullscreen it crashes instantly, probably because GPU does not allow the game to create fullscreen 1280x1024 window because of widescreen display.

My question is:

If it is a common problem and everyone already knows the solution how to migrate 4:3 installation to widescreen i'd be glad to hear it. If not:

I can try D3D Windower and run the game in windowed mode using D3D emulation, but i do not see how to enable D3D rendering in infinity engine, because the only hardware accelerated rendering i see is OpenGL.

I can try to use software similar to D3D Windower but for opengl, because opengl renderer worked really well for me on the first computer. But does anyone know such software which is able to emulate fullscreen resolutions in windowed mode?
