(Xoom/Baldur's Gate) GUI/Dialogue not showing up properly...

Hey,

I have an Motorola Xoom tablet that I am attempting to run GemRB (specifically Baldur's Gate) on. I have tried various configurations (with the widescreen mod, and without the widescreen mod) but the issue persists.

The exact issue is that the bottom part of the GUI is not present, and neither is the right side. When I click on dialogue boxes, those parts of the GUI will flicker and then disappear again. When this happens, the screen will glitch out and lock up and I will be forced to exit the program. In addition to this, the dialogue boxes will extend below the screen past the GUI to the point that I am unable to read them.

Would anyone happen to have glitches similar to these?

Well, I set my resolution in the wide screen mod from 1280x800 to 1280x700, and this certainly made things better. How do I go about updating the support files like guiscript?

edit: So I found those support files, and replaced them as necessary. Thanks for that tip... The only thing that is happening now is that the dialogue boxes are still being cut along the top side. When I move the cursor over the top of the dialogue box, the text that should be there flickers in and out. The only way I was able to get the GUI to properly show up was by setting the widescreen, as mentioned above, to the 1280x700, and then adding 1280x750 in the GemRB configuration settings. All the other ways I have tried it, the GUI does not show up properly.

Any further advice?

Alright, somehow I ended up getting everything to display right in the dialogue boxes and on screen. I just fiddled with the resolutions until I found the right one that worked. But now I have this peculiar issue that prevents me from starting up a new game. I will click on the Single Player and then on the New Game tab. The tab will lock up in the pushed position and the whole screen will freeze up. The error in the log states that it "couldn't save which view has focus because the focused view android.widget.TextView@48d7240 has no id"... ?

It could also be #4, if changing the resolution to 640x480 fixed the problem in bg1... Or something similar...

Though... widescreen should fix that problem.

One quick question: do you use it in fullscreen mode? (FullScreen=1) in config.

It is supposed to switch the taskbar off.
