  1. I'm having a problem caused by the IWDification Monster Summoning Spells. They cause a CTD upon completion of the spell. I saw another topic in the SCS forum about this from their IWD spells, but this must be coming from IWDification because I installed that first (weidu attached) and didn't install SCS IWD spells (it skipped over them). In the SCS forum the solution was to fix the animations for the summoned creatures. I tried to mess with this, but I'm new to NI and wasn't sure I did it right, and wasn't sure that would be the fix anyway, unless someone thinks it might help? In NI, I looked and found the effect the spells cause, which shows the .cre files of the monsters summoned, and for each spell there are .cre's listed that weren't in my override file or anywhere, so I swapped those out (pic attached) with the .cre's listed that WERE there. This still didn't resolve the issue. Any help would be appreciated! I'm on a mac, and installing all my (many) mods takes a few days, so I'm hopeful to fix this issue rather than go back through installation. I tried to uninstall IWDification and there were lots of errors when SCS was reinstalling. Thanks for any help anyone can provide! WeiDU.log

Sorry to necro this thread @CamDawg @polytope if that's what I'm doing, but this is the closest thread I could find: I'm running into a similar error but with monster summoning 1-3 that causes a ctd. I don't think its directly SCS-related, as I followed an install order I saw online and installed IWDification before SCS, both arcane and divine packs, so its probably tied more to that. I tried doing what is recommended here in the thread and change the animation value to something else in NI, but I'm not very good with that so I'm not sure if I did everything needed. Attached is a copy of my wiedu log and a pic of NI with the .cre that is summoned by the monster summoning 1 spell, at least. Could there be another issue? Thanks for any help you can provide. Also, while uploading the pic from NI, I noticed that the .2da that details the creatures summonsed by the spell listed .cre's that didn't exist, so I changed it to just summon creatures that are in the folder (I swapped one for an additional goblin (ms1goba.cre)). --This still didn't work and the game crashed upon completion of the spell. I rescind my question, though I'll leave it up if others see it - the reinstall of SCS ran into a bunch of errors - it still thought IWDificaiton was installed and it errored out on a bunch of categories where I assume it tried to give enemies IWDification spells. I copied my build before that though and am going back before the uninstall. I'll jump over to the IWDification forum and see if I can dig deeper on a fix.
  4. Hey there everyone, anyone seen an error like this? Maybe its not an error... I ran into issues with IWDification, monster summoning 1 was causing CTD, tried fixing it, and I gave up and did an uninstall of that mod - during the reinstallation process everything seemed fine, but as SCS was reinstalling I started seeing the line that is in the picture: Cannot set difficulty variable: difficulty system not initialised. Its not for every character, and its during the 'Initialize AI' component. A bit of light googling doesn't reveal anything, and I'm hopeful its just showing up because its reinstalling and maybe already set?

Was installing and getting the error, rolled back that component of SCS, plopped in your fix, and I'm back and rolling again. @subtledoctor Thanks for your inputs as well, I've been on the forums a lot getting my mega mod install going and you've been critical. Just want to say, you're both awesome to the community...the moments of, ah, tension, between you two maybe keep the creative juices flowing!

  7. @Connelly you don't happen to remember the lines referencing Letec? If possible, I'd like to try; I haven't started the game yet but I did just install PnP Fiends successfully over SCS without errors (though I know that doesn't mean it necessarily work out well). Also, it does make for a crazy run. I remember a previous giant mod run I did a decade ago with fiends summoning fiends and it was pretty glorious.

Hi @boof and @CamDawg, sorry to jump in here, but quick SCS question - ya'll mentioned above about atweaks fiends - is there any compatibility these days with the latest versions of SCS and tweaks to have pnp fiends work correctly with SCS? I installed SCS first but haven't installed PNP fiends yet, trying to do some research. I can't find anything by googling that's more recent than 2020. Will this work out these days? Thanks!
  9. Hi @subtledoctor, appreciate all your work! Quick q - I'm installing SCS currently, and will skip the +1 to fine as I've already installed yours from this mod - but I wasn't sure about the SCS 'Replace +1 arrows...' component. Does your Item Tweak mod take into account magical arrows too? I'm assuming so, but just want to double check before I sit through the hour+ that SCS is going to take to install.
  10. Looks great! I like lots of spells, will Made in Heaven Spells work with SRR? I installed SRR before Made in Heaven and IWD-ification.
  11. @4udr4n Thank you for doing this! Quick question on spell revisions - Its currently listed without any components specified - does that mean its recommended to install all components at that spot? The Readme specifies just the main component and then the other components, or at least the spellbook npc updates, later. Other mods are broken up by component but not this one? Similarly, ItemRev only has two components specified, are the others not listed as they aren't in this install order, and do other mods do the same thing? Thanks for your time.
  12. To clarify, I do this all in the game folder, where I installed all the mods? And I would rename the setup-SR.exe? My biggest problem at this point is that I'm on a mac, so I'll have to figure out how to run the .bat file, or is there a similar extension I should use for a mac executable? Thanks for the tips, Jarno and Bartimaeus, I'll give the changelog a try! Preemptive apologies if this turns out to have nothing to do with SR!
  13. So I did this, and it got kinda interesting... Sanctuary, as it is intended, was restored: blue cylinder thing, the right amount of time if immunity. BUT the description is super wacky. The spell in the spellbook now has a period after it, and the description reads: "Nowhere he can help me against such fighters as these." Weird stuff. I made a copy of the pre-existing SPPR109 so I could put it back in if needed. Not sure how I'll continue. Having a weird spell description takes me out of the experience a bit, but it is nice to have the spell work as intended. Does this prove some other mod I have interfered with SR?
  14. I'm not sure I understand what you are saying - You think because I'm using EET that the resources aren't used correctly? I ran an EET run two years back with SR and had no issues with Sanctuary casting correctly. I also tried to console level my priest to a high level and had the same result. The invisibility I do get lasts half a second with AI on, rather than two or so with AI off. Would it be reckless to take the SR file for Sactuary - SPPR109, and overwrite the file in my Override folder? Just in case some other mod glitched it? I don't use Sanctuary a ton, but without it will have a tough time in the drow city later on...

Hello, I just posted this issue in the thread about v4b16, so I'm sorry for the double posting: Doing an EET game with SR and some other spell mods (IWDification, Divine Remix - just spells and kits, TnB) and discovered that Sanctuary seems to be bugged. My priest (Branwen) casts it and is turned invisible for a few seconds before becoming visible again while taking no action. No blue cone that I remember from Sanctuary. I checked the mod file for this spell - SPPR109, I believe, and it all seems to be in the Override folder. Any idea what could be causing this and/or how to fix it? I don't think the other spell mods could be at fault, they don't modify Sanctuary in any way, I don't think. Could I theoretically replace the override file with something to fix it? Thanks for any help!
