There still seems to be a problem with Durlag's Tower chessboard teleportation in v30 (BGEE). I killed the fission slime (I think it was without fire, as I didn't even remember its gimmick ) and it didn't multiply, but DMWWFissionBurn was never set to 1, so the game didn't teleport me to the chessboard until I added the variable. SCS is the only mod I have installed, so it shouldn't be a mod conflict either.
