Domi
...was called the Blackhearted before she betrayed Bhaal in ToB? Or was she never called this, and I just picked it from some fanfiction or another by accident? Link to comment
devSin
Probably. Betrayal doesn't really imply blackheartedness, and I'm sure she wouldn't get a lovey squishy name worshipping Bhaal. I believe it's mentioned all of one time in the default game. Link to comment
Daulmakan
She calls herself that in the game, yes. In the pocketplane cutscene after you whacked the five Bhaalspawn. Dialogue MELISS01, to be precise. "True enough! So be it. My name is Amelyssan the Blackhearted, High Matriarch and greatest Deathstalker of my Lord Murder's Bhaalist temple. 'Twas I who led all the chants in His holy name!" Also, Bhaal calls her by that full name when he replies to her in the next cutscene (DLG BHAAL01). "And so you have betrayed me, Amelyssan the Blackhearted. The time draws nigh and yet you perform no rites!" As devSin said, it's probably just a title associatted to her line of work. theacefes
She couldn't just be Mel the Sales Lady? Link to comment
DavidW
She got the right to call herself "the Blackhearted" after her 500th post to forums.lordofmurder.net . Back when she was an acolyte, she had to be content with "Amelyssan the Petulant". Link to comment

Hide and Seek
Curiosity killed tha cat. No check linky Blind as a bat. Didn't even see linky. I'm sure Amelyssan kept that title among her fellow Deathstalkers (which were largely absent from ToB). Link to comment
devSin
I still don't see a link? Maybe in your signature (which I conveniently have disabled)? My answer to Kulyok: Whatchu talkin' 'bout, Kullok? Link to comment
jcompton
Literal-minded translation: "Okay, people, admit it. Who else copied and pasted, or perhaps typed freehand, 'http://forums.lordofmurder.net' into the address bar of the World Wide Web Hypertext Markup Language browser they choose to use on their personal computer?" (you can see now how "link" was punchier, if lacking a smidgen of accuracy.) Link to comment
devSin
Oh, DavidW's link. You've disabused me of the notion that A) Kulyok started the topic (sorry, Domi!), and B) she was talking about her original post. So what I read at the fourth-grade level. You think you're better than me?! Link to comment
Domi
Thank you. It seems that overoll everyone agrees that the nickname was pre-dating the ToT. Link to comment
