Cannot install widescreen mod for Planescape: Torment GOG version

Just get my hand on the game on GOG yesterday, run into the same Error every time I install it. I run Win 8.1 x64. Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure, but I think the reason why the above happens is likely that the installer(weidu.exe) is v23200, not the v23600. Go to your game folder, remove the "setup-widescreen.exe" -file, download the Windows Binary archive from here, extract the weidu.exe from that to your game folder and rename it as the erased file and then run it. (so it ends up as: B:\Planescape Torment\setup-widescreen.exe ).

Is the computer a dual boot ? The reason I ask is the B is not the usual drive to have actually. Not that it should matter. But there could be file permission issue that could come to be an annoyance, if you use the B as the Windows base boot drive, as apparently the only location permitted a direct file access on Win 8.1 is the users own folder, that's typically in C:\Users\<username>\
