Deheriana's resurrection

I've never played this mod before, just finished BG1, and I want to have Kivan in BG2. Ok, I understood that is necessary to resurrect Deheriana with the help of Aerie or Cernd, otherwise Kivan leaves at the and of SoA. My main PC is a F/M and I don't have Aerie and Cernd in my party. Can I pick up one of them before the resurrection? And after Deheriana is restored, can I kick out her from the party, if I don't wish to keep her? Will Kivan leave in this case at the end of SoA?

Yes, you can pick Aerie and Cernd late. I can't remember if you could split Kivan and Deheriana up after the restoration.
