I've a bit of a problem.

Ok, so today i decided to indulge in nostalgia and play BG:II SoA/ToB, but i didn't WANT to play the same game i've played over and over, countless times.

 

So i looked for mods that'd work for the macintosh platform of the game, this place in particular had a lot that seemed like they would be lovely.

 

At first i just added small things like ease-of-use, and checked to see if they worked, and they did... and then this mod and another decided to spoil my fun.

 

Upon creating a new character, and trying to even SELECT paladin as a class, causes an immediate and unforgiving crash of the game.

 

Now, i apologize if this is commonly discussed and has been said before (even more embarrassingly, it's on the front page of the forum), but i simply thought that the best i could do to help myself was by posting this thread.

In another thread on a different forum (Shards of Ice) this almost exact problem occurred. (only difference is paladin = fighter)

 

Someone posted there to post the following information, as to help the original modder with diagnosing my problem.

 

Alright, well, since this is terribly confusing (i'm computer savvy, but not THIS savvy), i'll post both what it says the current mods are.

 

Also, it would seem as yesterday was NOT the first time i updated it, at ALL as a matter of fact, but i'll make sure to indicate where yesterday's began, because now, upon remembering, none of the old mods conflicted with each other or created issues with the game, be it at startup or any other time.

Looks like you never bothered to install the Gibberlings 3 Fixpack, that, and that alone, would fix thousands of bugs, install fixpack after the official patches, and BEFORE any other mod, save yourself a ton of heart-ache
