How's this for a party?

Firstly, I'd like to thank Domi for making this mod--I couldn't even finish IWD2 the first time I played because I just came off of Baldur's Gate, and the total lack of...well, everything, knocked me off my feet, so having companions with actual personalities is going to be very welcome. Anyway, after much deliberation, I FINALLY managed come up with what I'm hoping will be a decent party, both power-wise and roleplay-wise. Seeing as I only have time for one playthrough, I'd like to get some opinions and tips on how well this will work before I start the game:

PC: Female Moon Elven Bard (thief and secondary mage)

Nord (tank)

Hildury (melee fighter)

Diriel (healer)

Rizdaer (melee fighter and occasional archer)

Peony (primary mage)

I suppose the only things I'm worried about is whether Jaemal would be a better choice for a party mage than Peony and whether or not my bard would be able to sufficiently handle locks and traps, or if I should change her to a rogue/wizard. Any advice would be welcomed!

I played with a party like this on one trial run, but iirc PC might have been a rogue MC. I would prefer Peony over Jaemal to get a bit of secondary romantic interest dialogue going, & get your PC from feeling like she is hunted by every male on the surface of Faerun. You can also swap NPCs bringing a higher level versions later in the game if one of them grating on your nerves or you need a different functionality in the team.

Thanks for the advice, you two! I ended up kicking out Peony, though, when she ended up more annoying that I thought, Dalekeeping my elven rogue into a sorceress, and bringing along Nikosh instead. The game's going very smoothly, though I predict I'll have trouble choosing between Rizdaer (dat voooooice) and Diriel later on.
