Please post any bugs or typos here. Make sure to specifiy the game you are playing (BG1, Tutu, BGT, or BG:EE) and which version of the mod (Windows, Mac, Linux).
If possible, please post your WeiDU.log so I can see which other mods were installed.

I'm afraid that even after all this time there are still game crushing bugs for us rare vanilla BG players. When I accept Lina's offer for massage and follow her either to her or my room screen goes black, load new area and then crush. Here is my weidu log:

On top of it there is non- weidu Northern Tales of the Sword Coast v.2.01 with the 2.01B english patch. Strange, this bug was not been here when I beta tested it about six months before with almost exact mod installation with exception of widescreen mod and that sound fixing mod on the bottom.

The crash is likely caused by the widescreen mod being installed before all the other components. It should be installed after all the area adding mods, as it patches the existing areas by extending their size with black if need be.
Welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand.
Here's how to install all the ... mods you ever really could want to Infinity Engine games. I removed the stable word from there as Roxanne began to add BS mods that are likely to break compatibility from the BWS.

 Been afraid of that. It would be nice to mention this "trifle" in mod readme under compatibility or installation. Sigh. Once more unto the breach dear friends. ( this would be 10. or so reinstallation of whole damn thing ).  :mad:

I am surprised it doesn't say so in the Widescreen Readme.

Sorry to hear about your troubles!

But good to know there are still classic BG players. Just a heads up: bg1re is not supported for vanilla BG, only for BG:TotSC.

 

EDIT: I checked and the area works fine for my BG:TotSC install.

Hey Jastey, good to see you. From Widescreen Readme:  "It can be installed in any order relative to most non GUI-related mods".  On the positive note it seems that all smileys are finally back.  :)  

P.S. And yes, I'm pretty sure that I have ToSC.

BG1 and Ps:T crash if the area's tileset is smaller than the current resolution, hence why the Imp is suggesting you to install the Widescreen last.

On top of it there is non- weidu Northern Tales of the Sword Coast v.2.01 with the 2.01B english patch. Strange, this bug was not been here when I beta tested it about six months before with almost exact mod installation with exception of widescreen mod and that sound fixing mod on the bottom.

Rule of Thumb: Non-WeiDU mods should be installed first. This more issues and bugs that you could never imagine.

Heh, me and my english. What I meant was that NToSC is very first. But in any case Widescreen mod must be installed before Mysteries of the Sword coast because " Better GUI for BG1 with WideScreen Mod in higher resolutions: v3.4b(104_7)" must come after it. Hm, now that I think of it, it would probably be best if I install just that component after WS mod. If only weidu v.237 does not work such a fuss with MoSC...

Only c#lc03 file in my game directory is one of the area files from Romantic encounters. But then again maybe I'm wrong.

Can you Greenhorn  Nevermind, there's no C#LC03.tis file anywhere in the archive... or code to handle it's creation... the vanilla assigned C#LC03.web has the tileset set as ar2605.tis, which is likely to exist. The .tp2 code then uses this:

Here's how to install all the ... mods you ever really could want to Infinity Engine games. I removed the stable word from there as Roxanne began to add BS mods that are likely to break compatibility from the BWS.

Yep, to my great sorrow RE and WS don't like each other. If I install WC before RE I get crushes, If I try to install it after RE, WC refuses to install at all. I don't want to choose, I want them both. Are there any WEIDU wizards left out there?

I've attached the .tis file from BG1. Drop in /override/ and try to install the Widescreen mod again.

I don't think I can sort anything because I have no idea how Widescreen works. All I can point out is that I use in many mods the trick that I re-use tis-files existant in the game without copying them by using custom are and wed-files (and the three needed bmps) with different-named tis-files and it works*. No idea what Widescreen expects but the thing is it's not only c#lc03.tis but a lot more areas so I'd be surprised if you won't get more "error" messages for missing tis-files with Widescreen.

 

Jarno: The code you posted is the naming of the relevant tis-file because it is different for the different BG1 games.

 

* Like in bg1re and Ajantis BGII
