Bard and Thief?

When playing BG1 I have always played as a thief.

I am about to do another play through and planned on my PC as a bard.

 

Only thing is that I like some of the new things available for thieves in this mod (Phial of Poison and Alathis' Guard).

Is there a way that I can use these as a bard? Or is this the advantage of playing with one or the other.

 

I guess I am wanting more of thieving bard. Being able to pick locks and such but maybe not as high or as strong as an ability as a thief would have.

I think not on the normal way and I don't know if there exist a thief/bard kit.
