Are you sure they were equipped? They are not supposed to be equipped, no.

 

Can you post the contents of your weidu.log file? It should exist in your installation directory.

Which cursed items have you seen equipped?

I'm not 100% sure they were, but it looked like it. Jardak in Baldur's Gate could only hit me with a 20 and after killing him I noticed he had the Gauntlets of Fumbling.

I'll see if I can reproduce it.

Well, I can't. The gauntlets correctly end up in the inventory without being equipped.

I don't think there's a problem with cursed items getting equipped, but please let me know if there's another case where it appears to be so.

In my game cursed items get equipped too - anyway they don't get equipped upon assignment, but as soon as the creature sees any member of my party thus starting using its battle scripts. I think it could be because of SCS scripts assigning possessed items to each available slot, since it is the only mod I know of that modifies scripts and that I use, and I don't think David designed those scripts thinking also about cursed items. Anyway, please note that this is a rather blind shot - I haven't checked it, so it could as well as could not be it.

Curious. Do you have a weidu.log from when you observed this?

I don't think SCS equips items but maybe there's some other mod out there that does. At any rate, I can't observe this behaviour either with Guest!'s mods.

I see this (at least at the guy in Mencar's party) also.

If you mean Orcslicer and the Cursed Berserking Sword, he uses the sword in the vanilla game.

 

There shouldn't be any cursed equipment being randomised in BG2 and in BG1 it is only the Gauntlets of Fumbling that can appear on a creature. The Bracers of Binding only has area containers in its tier.
