If Glaicas has a flail head, he doesn't give it to the player when uncharmed. If he doesn't, he still says his usual lines (that he's got the first head and will give it to the player).

Thank you. I'll have to correct that, somehow.

In Tutu, I got duplicate items from Silke. Looking at the documentation it looks like she should drop two items. I got two large shields +1 and a splint mail +1, which I'm assuming is wrong. Using version 6 without the hotfix (I knew there was something I forgot to install!), mode 2 with no items lost.

Hi ;)

What you had there was no bug, however. Some stores in BG1 sell an awful lot of Large Shields +1 (2*5 in in tier 25). As of version 5, every item in the stack is randomised in these cases (previously they'd just be randomised as one item per stack, with the excess being lost). Because of this, there are more items in these tiers than there are locations and Item Randomiser balances this by increasing the number of locations by selecting randomly from the base pool of locations.

But unless someone terribly minds I think I'll alter the stores so they don't sell excessively large stacks of items. That's an awful lot of armour for a Thespian Extraordinaire to lug around.

You needn't worry about having v6 without the hotfix. None of the additional fixes are relevant to Tutu.

Oh, right. Thanks for the clarification! It just looked very weird for her to be carrying around two of the same item, especially when she couldn't even use it! But I guess it isn't just PCs who get to be packrats.

There might be something else, while I'm here. Thalantyr is selling a single stack of 5 haste scrolls, rather than 5 individual scrolls. Is that anything to do with randomised scrolls or is it something else? That's the problem with using a couple of new mods together; I'm not always sure what's changing what.

That could happen if, for example, another mod increased the number of scrolls carried by e.g. a creature and that stack of scrolls was then randomised.

It might be tricky fixing something like that. I'll give it some thought.

Hey there, many thanks for the tool, im having loads of fun with it.

Not really a big issue, but it seems the spoiler list is a bit dated or has a few errors. In tutu there's a few items not listed that seem to be randomized, like the Heavy crossbow of accuracy. (same goes for those stacks of large shields you talk about, i found lots more than two).

Have you got a new version somewhere, or do you just want me to keep an eye out and hint for other little mistakes?

It might also be interesting to include a little list of items that arent (yet able to be) randomized (like the helm & cloak of balduran, ring of free action, Taugosz' full plate, etc)

I'm glad you are enjoying the mod.

It should be up to date. I rebuilt it from scratch for v5. But I did fix a typo involving the Heavy Crossbow of Accuracy in v5 and it seems that was after I built the spoilers document (consequently it says a Light Crossbow +1 is taken from Dabron instead). Will fix. Thanks.

The next version, or version 6.1 plus hotfix, will also be accurate with regards to the Large Shields, but quantitatively accounting for all items is difficult, since the exact numbers vary.

Have you got a new version somewhere, or do you just want me to keep an eye out and hint for other little mistakes?

Feel free to mention anything you think may be inaccurate. But at this point the spoilers document is mainly a list of which items are randomised, where they are taken from and where you can find them, rather than one that is also a quantitatively accurate representation of how many items are randomised.

It might also be interesting to include a little list of items that arent (yet able to be) randomized (like the helm & cloak of balduran, ring of free action, Taugosz' full plate, etc)

I don't know if it would be so little. I'll think about it, but I suspect it'd be a lot of work, especially in maintaining it and keeping it up to date.

I will, haven't really got any others atm, but i have a notepad alongside my games anyway so i'll keep an eye on it. (Oh and the way the spoiler works is fine, being just a list of items & locations)

Hmm, depends on how much you'd want to list, but it doesn't seem too much, might be there's a load of +1 thingies around i dont readily recognize as 'old' treasure though. Here's what i came along thats not yet randomized btw: (Several are quest related of course, like the Baldur Helm that pops up in Degrodel's quest.)

*Ring of Free Action (iron throne)

* Helm of Balduran (Helm&Cloak, quest related))

* Cloak of Balduran (Undercellars)

* Full Plate Mail (Taugosz, Bandit Camp)

* Cloak of the Wolf (Safana's Treasure Grotto)

* Gauntlets of Weapon Skill (BG Docks, quest related)

* Short Sword of Backstabbing +3 (Slythe, Undercellars)

* Throwing Axe +2 (Prat (lackeys), Candlekeep Caves)

* Helm Infravision (Neira, Nashkel)

* Ring Infravision (Nimbul, Nashkel)

* Cloak of Nondetection (Tasloi, Cloakwood 1, quest related)

* Ring of Protection +1 (Reward Mirianne Beregost Ogrillions quest)

And a few i havent checked, but havent received elsewhere, and arent listed in the spoiler:

* Spiders Bane +2 (Centeol, Cloakwood)

* Mareks Shortbow +2 (Marek, BG NW)

* Wand of Polymorph (BG, Boogieman quest)

* Sunin's Ring of Wizardry (BG SW)

* Boots of Stealth (Wilderness between Nash-Bere, quest related iirc)

* Boots of the North (Wilderness N of Gnoll Str, Nobleman with bear

There's also a few locations that could use a magic reward that dont have any yet, like the fight in the Flaming Fist compound upon return to Baldurs Gate. If you'd like more ideas for that too, i can also keep a little list of treasureless (but interesting) encounters.

Also, like posted in the suggestions thread, i'm all for some rewards randomly switching between TotSC and BG original as well. (ie combining the treasure classes)

Thank you.

I'll see what I can do. It'd probably be all right so long as I make it clear the list is not comprehensive.

There should be a random item in the FF compound. But I'll gladly listen to suggestions. There's no such thing as too many locations.

A few small nit-picks, with pictures! Excessive? I think not!

The Book of Infinite Spells retains its identified name even when unidentified. (Kind of funny when you read the unidentified description.) Perhaps this could be changed to something more generic, like "Spellbook" or something.

(Actually, now that I've taken a more in-depth look, the string immediately preceding that of the BoIS's unidentified description (#60878) is, indeed, "Spellbook", but the string is unassociated. Looks like this could possible be Fixpack material, too.)

Also, one of the PC responses (#32191) in Minister Lloyd's dialogue (UHMAY01.DLG, state 38) refers to the Umar Hills quest reward as "leather", regardless of what item's actually being given.

Everything else has been very nice, so far. Thanks. :)

Thank you. These issues should be fixed in version 6.2.
