CamDawg
This is a collection of tweaks that have been assembled for Icewind Dale. Version 15 features two new components, Friendly Random Drops and Remove Experience Cap as well as a lone bug fix. This mod is a compilation of cosmetic changes and tweaks. Some of these were fan requests, others are needed fixes, and others simply make dealing with the more irritating aspects of the game engine easier. Each component can be installed separately so the player can pick and choose only which ones they wish to install. slickrcbd
I can see that the mod was released almost two years ago, but I haven't actually played IWD in a long time. I have version 6 of this mod installed, but the new "Friendly Random Drops" tweak sounds interesting. What is the best way to upgrade the mod? I don't have many mods to IWD installed. Just this and the fixpack from the same era as version 6 of G3 tweaks and a couple small non-weidu tweaks I made myself with Infinity Explorer, NearInfinity, TeamBG IEEP, and 2DAEdit. Do I just run the mod again for version 15, or do I need to uninstall v6 of the mod, then install version 15, or do I need to start from scratch with a clean install? I'd rather avoid the latter as I'd have to track down and reinstall all my other mods. Link to comment
Jarno Mikkola
What is the best way to upgrade the mod? I don't have many mods to IWD installed. So yes, the safest option is to uninstall the game, then remove the game folder and then reinstall it and the mods, this will invalidate your save games and so forth, but it's the SAFEST approach. Now if you want to take a risk, and you wish nothing else than just the "Friendly Random Drops" tweak, then you can do the upgrade the mod by extracting the new version to the game folder, overwriting everything when asked and running the setip-modname.exe file and SKIP all the already installed components. It's also note worthy that this will only affect the areas your save has not visited yet, so it has it's limits too. And it is likely to make the uninstall of the other components impossible. Dirid
I wanted to ask is there a way to install Icewind Dale Tweak Pack on Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition? I've tried it and it is not compatible. This Tweak is great, I was using it with old version of the game, and i would love to use it on Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition. My bigest dream is to find a mod for Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition which changes the way the random loot drop works, as in the Tweak Pack, and I can't find it anywhere, the only way I like to play the game after so many runs is to powergame a little bit, and reloading same area over and over again is really not fun experiance Could you tell me please how to install Friendly Random Drops on the Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition, or could you tell me if there are any plans on updating Icewind Dale Tweak Pack to be compatibile with Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition? I will be very grateful Best regardsDirid Rashel Link to comment
