[Testers Wanted] Tweaks is dead. Long live Tweaks!

Recommended Posts

A couple other things I've noticed while playing BGEE with SOD installed. If planning on removing the xp cap and if you actually level beyond the point where you could obtain HLA's.. the level up screen will become disabled upon reaching 3,000,000xp. To circumnavigate that problem you need this Lunumab.2da file I found here. https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/10212/a-simple-xp-cap-remover-now-compatible-with-siege-of-dragonspear/p2

The TOB style NPC's. I played through the black pitts and then used that character to start a new game so I'm currently at 21,5459 xp. Imoen Levels only to 1304xp.. so level 2. Montaron and Xzar level correctly (I believe) to 32000xp getting them to level 6 and 5. Not sure why Imoen would be getting her lowest of low character sheet.

BGEE/SoD/BG2EE 2.0+ has its own script for NPC leveling, which is sort-of-but-not-exactly similar to the Tweaks "TOB-style NPCs" component. This component really should not be installed on EE 2.0+. Seems like it is begging for some kind of problem.

I once suggested that it be disabled for those game versions... I think the rationale was that this component t is still necessary for mod NPCs which don't benefit from the new XP system... but in that case it should probably exclude vanilla NPCs.

Thanks for the responses.. I'll do a bit of playing around with the TOB Style Leveling to see if there are any differences.

Thieving/Arcane spell casting in heavy armors doesn't seem to unlock the heavy armors for use. I thought it was working when I first started playing but then noticed it wasn't later. I'm not sure if it actually was working and then quit at some point or not. Going back to old saves doesn't prove that it ever was and re-installing those two items didn't change anything. So I don't really know.

Edit: Ok.. so checked TOB-Style levling without it installed. Everyone levels as TOB.. except for Imoen.. who, no matter what it seems, starts on level 2. So basically what the mod itself does is allow you to level Imoen that 1 level. Without it installed she just starts on 2. This would only be noticeable to anyone who starts the game with a pre-leveled character from The Black Pitts or through other means. So I guess it doesn't really matter if it's installed or not. I haven't noticed any side effects from it being installed in my longer running game.

I'm having problems with the werewolf paws being used in the off hand.

main hand has weapon

off hand has paw

un-equip paw = can't re-equip it anywhere.

Other weapons equip, un-equip no problems.

main hand has paw

off hand has weapon

can un-equip, re-equip the paw (or other weapon) with no problems.

Hope that makes sense??

I think that's because the paw is meant to be used in the main-hand slot...?

I have request: please revert keys for various subcomponent selection ( for eg. romance cheat option selection ) to:

1 for option 1
2 for option 2
...

instead current implementation( using letters: a,b. Keys 1 and 2 are close to each other and there is no reason to be different than all other mods.

I installed ToB style npc on my EE game and since I didn't level imoen, BDIMOEN has 6 hp which makes her chunked during the cutscene where she gets attacked in SoD.

I'm not sure what's the best way to fix it but here's the discussion about it on the EET forum : http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=28161&&page=31

to be more precise - BDIMOEN.CRE uses the same DV as any other IMOEN CRE file in both BG:EE and EET. It doesn't matter if you level her up during BG1 or not since BDIMOEN.CRE use stats from the IMOEN.CRE file (level 1) when this component is installed. There should be an exception for BDIMOEN.CRE in this tweak considering she doesn't have any minimum hp items and there is scripted 20 damaged applied to her during SoD Baldur's Gate cutscene. Problem is not unique to EET. Same would happen on vanilla BG:EE+SoD.
